These e-materials are available to you anytime, anywhere

Are you familiar with the library’s e-materials? In addition to books and magazines, we also offer music and language courses. You can use these services free of charge anywhere, whether you are at home or traveling.

E-books and e-audiobooks

  • You can borrow e-books and e-audiobooks from the E-library, a shared service of Finnish municipalities. When using the service for the first time, you can log in with your online banking credentials, for instance.
  • Naxos Spoken Word features classic works of fiction as e-audiobooks, mostly available in English. Log in to the service with your library card.

E-magazines

  • You can borrow mainly Finnish and some Swedish and English magazines from the E-library, a shared service of Finnish municipalities. When using the service for the first time, you can log in with your online banking credentials.
  • PressReader allows you to read thousands of well-known magazines and newspapers from around the world in approximately 60 different languages. Log in to the service with your library card and pin code.

Music

  • Naxos Music Library, Naxos Music Library Jazz, and Naxos Music Library World feature a comprehensive selection of music from different countries, classical music and jazz. Log in to the service with your library card and pin code.
  • With Medici.tv’s video service, you can watch thousands of top-quality videos of concerts, operas and ballets, as well as documentaries and teaching materials. Log in to the service with your library card.

Language courses

  • Promentor’s course selection includes beginner and advanced courses that are suitable for independent study. The languages available include Finnish, English, Swedish, Spanish, German, Russian, Italian and French. Log in to the service with your library card and pin code.
  • Naxos Spoken Word Library offers dozens of language courses in the form of audiobooks. You can find the courses by tapping the ‘Language’ heading in the menu. Log in to the service with your library card.
